My Church is One Big Happy Family
Pastor Samuel John became a believer in his youth. He was born in Alleppey, Kerala, and it was during his student days that he was born again, baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit. From that time on, his heart was focused on serving the Lord. Since his early college days, he has been involved in prayer groups and in his local church. He studied Engineering in Trivandrum and at IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Delhi and went on to do his further studies at Harvest Bible College (Australia) and Alliance Theological Seminary (New York). He is currently pursuing his M.Div. He is an engineer and has worked in India and New York for Morgan Stanley.
In 1998, he was ordained in New York by IPC Senior Pastors, and since that time, he has served as the Pastor of Grace Pentecostal Church, ICA New York, and as interim Pastor for ICANJ. In addition, he has served as the president of the IPC Northern Region for the past 11 years. God has led him back as the Pastor of ICANJ, and his comprehensive teaching is a blessing. He has a passion for the church and for sharing the message of Jesus.Pastor Samuel John is serving the Lord along with his wife, Susan, and they have three children: Shawn (married to Tammie with two children) who serves as the Worship Director of City Light Church in New York City, Sharon (married to Charlie with one child) in New York who is working and serving God in church ministries, and Shelby who completed undergrad studies, training in youth and children’s ministry who is serving here at ICANJ in our youth and children’s ministries.
